Eleventeen, "Indian Giver" b/w "Fooling Yourself"

Collectively known as Eleventeen (and formally known as Yakoo), Max Collins (vocals/bass), Jon Siebels (vocals/guitar), and Nick Meyers (drums) are three enthusiastic teenagers who blatantly display their passion for bouncy, melodic pop music on this, their first single. With just one spin, Eleventeen's songs
might appear overly simplistic and superficial, but upon further examination, it becomes apparent that their material is anything but basic. Simply put, these La Crescenta dwellers know what a solid pop hook is and how to get it across concisely. Lyrically, they also know what they want to say and they don't beat
around the bush before they say it. A few words of caution however--Eleventeen should probably find a more politically correct title for Side A's "Indian Giver."
